Kimberly-Clark makers of Kleenex and Cottonelle use old growth forests to make their products.
Although DrCongo seems to think otherwise; in which case I'd like to remind him about the difference between old growth forests and forests that are specifically grown for paper use.

What a bloody brilliant idea. Children play on a merry-go-round which pumps much needed well water to the surface.

A car that runs on compressed air. A stylistic nightmare though; it looks like a life size toy car.

I think that Ethanol is a good step towards relinquishing our dependence on foreign oil, however; there are of course downsides to anything. For example, Mexico is in the middle of a tortilla crisis. The price of corn has skyrocketed and as such, a cornerstone of the Mexican diet has become unattainable. What was once a cheap and plentiful food source for the poor is now a luxury. It doesn't do to have people starve while you create fuel for cars. I think the Germans who created Kompogas have it right. They take biogenous waste, (grass clippings, leftover food, etc) and turn THAT into fuel. Ingenious.

Americans have the best and cleanest tap water in the WORLD. However, we insist on purchasing bottled water which in many cases is simply bottled tap water. The amount of waste that goes into bottled water is astonishing. The plastic, the transportation, it's completely unnecessary.
